Substantial efforts still need to be undertaken to enhance public confidence in the electoral system, and further political will could be demonstrated by the authorities in this regard to address outstanding issues. Large-scale voter education should be encouraged not only vis-à-vis electoral procedures and rules, but also focused on the importance of citizens’ civil and political rights.
