Paragraph 31

 

An amendment creating a new Article 47.51 requires that newly arrested or detained persons shall be included in the voter lists. Information on these persons is to be submitted to the Precinct Election Commission at least 2 days prior to election day by the court that made a decision on arrest or the executive authority that made a decision on detention. This amendment should be considered, as are the amendments to Articles 46.6 and 46.9, as potentially facilitating voting by persons in detention.
