Article 44 has been supplemented by provision 31, which states that “A person may aspire to more electoral position but only from one party”. It is taken for granted that the limitation applies to elections held at the same time. This could be specified, and one could specify that running as an independent candidate is permitted even if a person runs as a party candidate in another race.
