However, the Electoral Code of Moldova maintained the provision that:
”before introducing the ballot into the ballot box, one of the members of the electoral bureau of the polling station, who is permanently situated near the ballot box, applies on the back of the ballot the special stamp of the electoral bureau of the polling station” .[23]
