A. Composition and appointment of election commissions
To sum up, the Venice Commission and OSCE/ODIHR are conscious that previous experience with election commissions described as non-partisan led to justified criticism and that the label “non-partisan” does not guarantee independence and impartiality. However, a way should be found in order to reduce the politicisation of such bodies. |
