40.1. The General Council will hold an ordinary session every three months. Its President Councilor could call for an extraordinary session when he considers it necessary or at the request of the majority of the Electoral Councilors or the political party representatives, jointly or separately.

40.2. For the preparation of the electoral process, the General Council will meet during the first week of September of the year prior to the one in which the ordinary federal elections will be held. As of that date and until the end of the process, the General Council will hold a session at least once a month.
