Article 224
 

224.1. The provisions of this Title will only apply to the federal electoral processes.


224.2. The electoral process is the group of actions ordered by the Constitution and this Law, fulfilled by the electoral authorities, the national political parties and the citizens, with the purpose of the periodic renewal of the members of the Legislative and Executive Branches of the Union.


221.3. Before the electoral process begins, the General Council will determine the territorial area of each one of the five multi-member regional districts, as well as, where applicable, the territorial demarcation referred to in article 53 of the Constitution.
