Convention of Riigikogu

The Chairman of the Riigikogu shall, on the proposal of the President of the Republic, the Government of the Republic or at least one-fifth of the membership of the Riigikogu, convene an extraordinary session or supplementary sitting of the Riigikogu in order to elect the President of the Republic. Before convening the Riigikogu, the Chairman of the Riigikogu shall consider the opinion of the electoral committee.
