  1. Lists of candidates of different political groupings may be merged to form a combined list by the submission, between 09.00 and 17.00 hours on nomination day, to the central electoral committee of a joint declaration in writing to this effect by the agents specified on the lists.


 



  1. Such a merger may be effected only between political groupings whose appellation has been registered for the relevant election.


 



  1. In the case of an election to the House of Representatives or to the council of a province comprising more than one electoral district, such a merger may only be effected if:


(a) the various groupings have submitted a list in every electoral district, and


(b) the combination relates to all the lists submitted for a grouping in the various electoral districts.


 



  1. The provisions of subsection 2 shall also apply to the combining of appellations of two or more groupings, if the appellation formed in this way appears on all the lists submitted on behalf of these groupings.


 



  1. A model for the declaration referred to in subsection 1 shall be established by ministerial order.
