1. Self-nomination of candidates shall be carried out by way of notification thereof of the election commissions where the candidates are to be registered, followed by the collection of signatures in support of such selfnominated candidates, except for the case envisaged in Section 17, Article 38, of this Federal Law.

2. The federal law may require that a group of a certain number of voters be assembled to support a selfnominating candidate.
