The sessions and the activity of the Central Electoral Commission


(1) The meetings of the Commission may be called for by the Chairperson based on his/her initiative or based on the request of three Commission members. When a meeting is requested by the Commission members, a decision to convene the meeting shall be made within 48 hours of the submission of the request.


(2) All meetings in which the Commission discusses electoral issues, including meetings when the Commission is called upon to decide on electoral issues, shall
be open to mass media and to the public. the meetings of the Commission shall be held only after 48 hours from the moment the public notice was issued, except for meetings during electoral periods, in which case shorter notice may be given if the matter to be discussed needs urgent consideration.


(3) The Central Electoral Commission shall ensure that electoral operations are carried out in a transparent manner that enables the mass media and the public to monitor and evaluate the Commission’s activity.
