Representativeness contains five relevant features/elements: 1. the extent of electors’ participation in the election; 2. the directness of the relationship among electors and the elected; 3. the scope of choice available to electors; 4. the degree to which the effective influence of each elector is equal; and 5. the proportion of the electorate which achieves actual representation.
