Boycotting is thus different from objective crisis situations, as there are at least some political parties and voters who have trusted the electoral processes and time-line. Postponement of elections in this situation might still have a legitimate aim, as the boycotting intends to lead to a more thorough constitutional reform (e.g. reform of election management bodies, electoral legislation, legislation related to corruption and misuse of administrative resources, powers of the parliament).
