Election of Slovenian Members of the European Parliament (hereinafter: elections) called by the President of the Republic. For the day of voting shall be determined Sunday or other non-working day in the period determined by the competent authority of the European Union.

The act on calling the elections shall be published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia.

Elections shall be first 135 days and no later than 75 days before the vote. From the day of calling the elections until the day of the vote should be at least sixty days.

On the day, which is in the act of calling elections set as the day of calling the elections, time begins to run for election activities.
