Article 15
 

Political parties determine the candidates according to the procedure laid down by their rules. The list of candidates shall be determined by secret ballot.


A political party may submit a list of candidates if it is supported by signatures of at least four members of the National Assembly or at least one thousand voters.


Two or more political parties may submit a joint list of candidates if it is supported by signatures of at least six members of the National Assembly or at least five hundred thousand voters.


On the list of candidates no gender should be represented by less than 40 percent. Each list must be composed in such a way that at least one candidate of each sex figures in the first half of the list.


The lists of candidates which do not comply with the provisions of the preceding paragraph shall be void.


The provisions of the preceding two paragraphs shall not apply to candidate lists containing only one or only three candidates and the candidate, which must be on the candidate list, which are ranked three candidates or candidates, at least one representative of each sex.
