(1) This Act regulates the issues of the election campaign for the election of deputies (hereinafter referred to as Members) National Assembly deputies from the Republic of Slovenia in the European Parliament (hereinafter: the elections to the European Parliament), the president or president (hereinafter: President) of the Republic, members and members (hereinafter referred to as members) the representative and individually elected local government bodies and issues relating to the referendum campaign.

(2) The election campaign under this Act, all political advertising and other forms of political propaganda aimed at influencing the decisions voters (hereinafter: voters) voting in elections.

(3) The referendum campaign as advertising and other forms of propaganda whose purpose is to influence the decision of voters voting in the referendum.

(4) The referendum campaign subject to the provisions of the election campaign, unless otherwise provided by law.

(5) The election campaign shall in particular:

-        propaganda in the media, electronic publications and propaganda through the use of telecommunications services,

-        posting and

-        public meetings relating to electoral or referendum campaign (hereinafter: the pre-election rallies).
