Monetary Deposit



Prior to submitting documents to the Central Election Commission for registration of candidates nominated to the electoral list in a multi-mandate constituency, party (bloc) shall make a monetary deposit in the amount of fifteen thousand before-tax minimum wages by way of a clearing settlement to a special account of the Central Election Commission.





Prior to submitting documents to the constituency election commission for registration, a candidate nominated in a single-mandate constituency shall make a monetary deposit in the amount of 60 before-tax minimum wages to the account of the constituency election commission.





Should a respective election commission decide to decline candidates’ (candidate’s) request for registration, the monetary deposit shall, within five days from the passing of a respective decision, be remitted to the party’s (bloc’s) account, or returned to the candidate.





In the event of annulment of the decision on registration of all candidates nominated to the electoral list of party (bloc), nominated in a multi-mandate constituency, or a candidate nominated in a single-mandate constituency, the monetary deposit shall be remitted to the State Budget of Ukraine within five days from the passing of said decision.





Monetary deposit shall be returned to parties (blocs) which participated in the distribution of deputies’ mandates, and to deputies elected in single-mandate constituencies.





Monetary deposit made by parties (blocs) which failed to participate in the distribution of deputies’ mandates in a single-mandate constituency shall be remitted to the State Budget of Ukraine within eight days from the day of official declaration of the results of the deputies’ elections.



7. Monetary deposit, made by a candidate running in a single-mandate constituency but not elected deputy, shall be remitted to the State Budget of Ukraine within eight days from declaration of the results of the deputies’ elections in a single-mandate constituency or from declaration of the decision to null the elections in said constituency.
