Article 78

(1) A filled out official ballot of the provincial constituency shall be valid if it is unequivocally ascertainable which party the voter intended to vote for. This shall be the case if the voter makes a cross or other sign with ink, coloured pencil, pencil, or the like, in one of the circles printed below each party name so as to make it clear that he intends to vote for the party listed in the same column.

(2) The filled out ballot shall also be valid if the intention of the voter is otherwise unequivocally clear, for instance, by ticking, underlining, other similar marking of a campaigning party, by deleting the other campaigning parties, or by naming at least one person campaigning on a party list (§ 79).
