The bodies entrusted with supervising, maintaining and compiling the Register (the ‘Register bodies’) are organised at three levels. The overall process is managed by the Central Electoral Commission, the ‘custodian of the Register’. One of the CEC’s principal functions is to adopt detailed rules on access to the Register.
