The deadline for nomination of party representatives to DEC positions is, as per Article 26.5, eighty days prior to the election. However, Article 26.1 provides for the same eighty days deadline for which the CEC should establish the DEC. A simultaneous deadline for DEC nominations and establishment of DECs by the CEC might cause some administrative difficulties. Consideration should be given to allowing the CEC additional time for establishing the DEC.
