Article 8 of the amendments attempts to increase the participation of women in the election administration. This amendment adds a new paragraph to Article 2.2 of the Election Law, requiring “efforts” to ensure that at least one-third of the membership of election commissions and polling stations consists of the less represented gender. This is a positive amendment.
