The Election Law does not state how the CEC is to verify signatures. Article 4.11 only states that the CEC “shall regulate how the signatures of support shall be checked and verified”. It is recommended that a detailed and transparent procedure for verifying support signatures by the CEC be legally provided, ensuring consistency and uniformity of the verification process.
