E. Presidential Candidacy Rights
Article 48(3) requires that a candidate for President must be a citizen between the ages of 35 and 70, a resident of the Kyrgyz Republic for 15 years prior to his/her nomination, and “know the state language”. This residency requirement seems excessive.
