Signatures of supporters must be deposited before a CEAZ employee or a notary. This can be cumbersome and challenging to the functioning of a CEAZ. The provision could be revised and this requirement could be removed. Instead, people signing in support of candidatures could provide sufficient information to an authorised representative of the candidate so that they can be identified and contacted if there is a need for further verification.
