The chairperson shall announce how many ballot papers have been lodged.
The vote shall be invalid if this number exceeds the number of members present in the assembly, plus the number of members present who have been authorised to cast proxy votes.
In that case the chairperson shall destroy the ballot papers lodged and a new poll shall take place.
