Immediately after the votes have been counted, the chairperson shall announce in respect of each list both the number of votes cast for each candidate and the number of votes cast for the list as a whole. The latter figure shall be referred to as the total vote. He shall also announce the number of blank and invalid votes cast.
The ballot papers bearing blank votes and the ballot papers declared invalid shall subsequently be placed in packets, which shall then be sealed. On these packets shall be stated:
(a) the name of the province;
(b) the number of ballot papers contained in the packet.
