§ 28.
 

Application to stand as candidate

(1) In an application to stand as a candidate, a person shall: 1) express his or her desire to stand as a candidate in the list of a political party or to stand as an independent candidate; 2) confirm that he or she complies with the requirements of this Act for candidates standing in Riigikogu elections; 3) submit the data provided for in subsection (2) of this section.


(2) A candidate shall submit in an application to stand as a candidate the following information: 1) given name and surname; 2) personal identification code; 3) membership of a political party; 4) residential address; 5) telecommunications numbers; 6) contact details; 7) information concerning the education; 8) place of employment and position.


(3) The State Electoral Office shall publish the information provided for in clauses (2) 1), 3), 6), 7) and 8) of this section. [RT I, 06.05.2016, 1 - entry into force 01.01.2017]


(4) A candidate shall use only his or her given name and surname as his or her name when standing as a candidate.
