The following conduct will be subject to fines unless another more severe penalty is prescribed under other acts:
if anyone offers money or benefits to a person or promises a person money or benefits in order to exercise influence on whether that person votes or how he or she votes, or if anyone deprives a person or threatens a person with the loss of work or benefits for the same purpose,
if anyone accepts money or benefits for the casting of a vote, for refraining from casting a vote, or to cast a vote in a specific manner.
