The Constitution (Article 48.2) provides that eligible voters who have attained the age of 25, have been a citizen of (only) Armenia for the preceding four years, have permanently resided in Armenia for the preceding four years, and have a command of the Armenian language may be elected to the National Assembly. This provision is reproduced in Article 80.1 of the draft code.
