As in the current code, parties and candidates running in large communities are required by Article 26 to set up a specific bank account for campaign finance purposes. Article 26 provides for use of own funds of candidates and parties as well as donations from individuals eligible to vote; however it does not explicitly address important campaign finance issues, such as the treatment of anonymous donations and the possibility of making in-kind donations. According to the authorities, these issues are addressed by Articles 26.2(3) and 27.2. It would be advisable for the code to regulate them explicitly.
