Article 29.6 does not empower the OAS to receive information from commercial entities, contractors, the police and other institutions that may have information relevant to the OAS audits. It is not clear what “receipts and expenditures not prohibited by the legislation” the OAS is not authorised to receive according to Article 29.6(2). It is recommended that the OAS be empowered to obtain all information relevant to its audits.
