Under the current Constitution (Article 96), the Supreme Court is the highest body of judicial power in all areas of law, and has the power to “revise court rulings of local courts upon appeals of the participants in the judicial process” (par 1); its rulings “shall be final and not subject to appeal” (par 3). The Plenum of the Supreme Court consisting of the Chairperson and collegiums shall also “give explanations on issues of court practice” (par 2).
