Article 26(6) of the LPP and Article 38(3) of the EC also contain a prohibition of donations by international organisations, including international political organisations. Contrary to the situation commented on in the 2013 Joint Opinion, both Articles now use the same wording which is to be commended. However, according to the 2013 Joint Opinion it should be clarified whether the prohibition “also includes capacity-building support provided by international organisations such as the Council of Europe, United Nations or the OSCE.” This point remains to be addressed.
