Paragraph 63

As for general party funding, detailed provisions on financial reports of electoral contestants were introduced in 2015; see Article 38 of the EC. It is to be noted that paragraph 1 of that Article was again amended in 2017 to require that reports be submitted to the CEC on a weekly basis instead of once every two weeks: it was convincingly explained to the delegation that more frequent reporting was necessary to ensure adequate transparency, taking into account that the 2017 reform restricted the electoral period.
