In addition, consideration should be given to tackling the issue of the so called intermediation in funding of political parties, i.e. a legal or physical person with an aim of keeping their identity secret, uses other person for transferring a donation to a political party, declaring it in the other person’s name. Article 161.3 of the draft amendments to the criminal code, entitled “Exceeding the amount provided for by law for making a donation to a political party by deception”, refers in particular to “recording [a donation] as a donation to other persons”. Reference could also be made to “recording [a donation] as a donation from other persons”.
