The Election Code of Georgia, newly enacted in 2011, provides for exhaustive provisions both on “prohibition of the abuse of administrative resources during the pre-election agitation and campaign” (Article 48) and on “prohibition of the use of budget funds, occupational status or official capacity” (Article 49).
