The integrity of all relevant stakeholders, inter alia police, prosecutors, courts, judges, as well as auditors, is clearly vital to tackle the misuse of administrative resources. Media, under the principle of freedom of information, can also play an important role in countering abuses and support the effective administration of justice in this field. It seems fruitful to build similar perspectives on abuses during electoral processes as on corruption in general.
