Paragraph 39

According to the Code of Good Practice in Electoral Matters, the right to vote must be subject to a minimum age. In most CoE member states, citizens aged 18 or older are entitled to vote in national elections. However, Austria (2007) and Malta (2018) successfully lowered the minimum age to 16 years for national elections. In Greece, the voting age was recently reduced to 17 years.
