The overall package of amendments also foresees an amendment to Article 224 of the Parliament’s Rules of Procedure, by introducing a new paragraph 15¹. According to this provision, the above failure to attend all plenary sittings during one session, or the failure to attend all plenary sittings of a session for a month, would lead to the full deduction of a Member of Parliament’s salary for the period of the session and the ensuing recess period, unless the respective Member of Parliament attends an extraordinary session during recess.
