A new Section 307/R of the Act on Electoral Procedure (Section 52 of the Act) establishes an explicit right to appeal against the determination of the compensatory list result but only on grounds of breach of the rules for aggregating the results of individual constituencies and determining the election result. The limited breadth of this provision appears to challenge the right to effective legal remedy in election disputes. The Venice Commission and ODIHR recommend extending the grounds for such appeal.
