Invalid ballot papers 


1 Ballot papers are deemed invalid if they:



  1. contain the names of more than one person;

  2. are not official;

  3. have been completed other than by hand;

  4. contain defamatory remarks or obviously irrelevant markings;

  5.    ...


2 Grounds for invalidity or nullity that relate to the cantonal procedure (official voting envelope, validation stamp, etc.) remain reserved.


3 In the case of electronic voting pilot schemes, the legislation of each canton conducting such a scheme determines the requirements according to which votes are validly cast and the grounds for invalidity.
