Promulgation and entry into force of Act passed by referendum


(1) The National Electoral Committee submits an Act adopted by a referendum and a resolution to approve theresults of the referendum to the President of the Republic on the date on which the results of the referendum are announced. The President of the Republic promptly promulgates the Act.


(2) An Act to amend the Constitution which is adopted by a referendum enters into force on the date specifiedtherein but not earlier than three months after the date of promulgation.


(3) Other Acts adopted by a referendum enter into force on the 10thday after their publication in the Riigi Teataja, unless a different date is prescribed in the Act.


(4) A resolution made on other affairs of the state submitted to a referendum enters into force on the date onwhich the results of the referendum are announced.
