In terms of communication, the promotion of media literacy so that voters can identify disinformation and verify sources, as well as the promotion of professional journalism, are tools to counter information disorder. To this end, for example the European Commission has launched information campaigns to counter myths about immigration (disseminating real figures on migrants’ economic contributions, clarifying what support refugees receive, etc.).
