While the commissions are empowered to remove subordinate election officials, they would not have direct ability to take further action of a disciplinary nature (except to prevent such persons from being involved in future electoral work). However, other measures are called for, including initiation of a misdemeanour procedure by SEC or disciplinary action under the Law on Civil Servants.
