Paragraph 78

In the event of an appeal on the final results made to the Constitutional Court, an appellant has seven days to file an appeal once the CEC has issued its final results. Even in the event of an appeal between the first and possible second round of a presidential election, the Constitution requires the second round to be held within 14 days of the first round (Article 51.3), also provided for by Article 85.1 of the Code. Appeal deadlines need to be harmonised to ensure that an appeal after the first round can be decided by the Constitutional Court before a second round has been held.
