Further safeguards against “last minute” announcements of fraudulent results would include a ban on publication of any poll within 48 hours of the opening of election day. That would give critics of last minute polls an opportunity to inspect the sample details filed with the Central Elections Commission and challenge the reliability of results through the media before votes were cast.
