An assignment as a member of the European Parliament is not compatible with being

1. a member of a national parliament,


2. a member of the government of a Member State,


3. a member of the Commission of the European Communities,


4. judges, Advocates General or Registrars of the Court ofJustice or the Court of First Instance of the European Communities,


5. a member of the European Central Bank Executive Board,


6. a member of the European Court of Auditors,


7. an Ombudsman of the European Union,


8. a member of the Economic and Social Committee of the European Community and the European Atomic Energy Community,


9. a member of such committees and other bodies that have been appointed in accordance with the Treaties on the Establishment of the European Community and the European Atomic Energy Community to manage the funds of the community or to perform a permanent and direct administrative function,


10. a member of the board, member of the executive board or employee of the European Investment Bank, or


11. an officer or other employee on active service within the institutions of the European communities or bodies that are linked with them or the European Central Bank.
