A.  Electoral System for Parliament


Article 70 of the Constitution adopted in June 2010 establishes the number of parliamentary seats at 120. Members of parliament are elected for a five-year term through a proportional party list system within a single nation-wide constituency. Article 70 also provides that “as a result of elections a political party may not be granted more than 65 deputy mandates in the Parliament.”
