IV. Analysys and recommendations
G. Reporting
The OSCE/ODIHR has pointed out in the past that political parties are required to report to the Agency only 30 days after the announcement of election results and are not obliged to provide information on campaign expenditures during the election process.[1] This reduces the transparency of party funding to voters in the run-up to the elections and runs counter to electoral good practice.[2] It is therefore recommended to require political parties to report on campaign financing in a transparent manner during the election campaign.
