VI. Voter lists and voter registration

The voter lists are extracted from the population register maintained by the Civil Registration and Administration Services Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works (GRAO).41 Voters in hospitals, detention centres and ships are entered into special lists compiled by the individual in charge at such institution, centre or ship and are removed from the regular voter lists. Additionally, voters who expect to be abroad on election day can be listed on voter lists at a consular office and the person will be removed from the regular voter list.
